Koi fish tattoo became popular trend among both sexes. The word 'koi' in fact means 'fish' and referred to as 'nishikigoi' in Japan, a product of selective breeding of common brown Asian carp and carp Germany for several centuries. This is a homophone (words with same pronunciation) in other words that symbolize the love of the opposite sex or a sense of longing for a particular person. Thus, can be expressed as 'passionate love' or 'romantic love'. So, what exactly koi attractiveness as a design for a tattoo? Well, not only because they look good and wonderful, but they also carry the symbol. For example, koi can survive for two hundred years, although in general they live for about twenty-five to thirty-five years. This course represents the power that can withstand the test of time. There are many different meanings attached to it. More generally, Japanese people connect it with perseverance in adversity and strength because of the determination to overcome all kinds of obstacles in life as told in the famous Japanese legend. A koi fish will magically turn into a dragon if successfully managed to swim upstream against the current to a point known as the Dragon Gate on the Yellow River. This is, of course, became a symbol of worldly aspiration and advancement.
